How to Play

Mask of Six Moons blends retro pixel platforming with exploration, combat and plenty of loot. You pass through mysterious moon gates into dangerous realms, fighting monsters and collecting the weapons they leave behind. Twelve weapon types are on offer, from heavy greatswords and sweeping scythes to hammers, bows, staffs and chain whips, and each one handles differently. Weapons come in rarity tiers that run from Common up to the ultra-rare Phantom, and every drop rolls random bonuses, so a lucky find can change how you play. Levelling up lets you spend points on five stats and unlock new movement skills such as a dash, a double jump and a wall jump. Two gates are open to explore, a flooded crypt and a cavern overgrown with fungus, each guarded by a powerful boss.

Controls

Move with A and D or the arrow keys, and jump with Space or W. Attack with J or left click, use your second weapon with K or right click, and dash with L or Shift. Q heals, E uses or picks up items, I opens status and weapons, H opens the Hunters Journal, and P or Esc pauses. Gamepads are supported.

Tips

  1. Try each weapon type early to find one that suits your style.
  2. Spend early stat points on survival until you know a boss's patterns.
  3. Keep heals for boss fights rather than using them on minor scrapes.
