How to Play

Chain n Gain is a connect-the-matches puzzle where you link identical items into chains instead of swapping them around. Start on one item and draw through its neighbors of the same kind, moving up, down, sideways or even on the diagonal, then let go to clear the whole line at once. Longer chains score more and push you toward the level goal, which asks you to collect a set number of particular items. After each move the board refills, and the bottom row disappears as well, so the layout keeps shifting beneath you. Power-ups such as bombs and rockets sit among the pieces and go off by themselves whenever your chain passes right next to them, which can set off a run of extra clears. Obstacles appear on later stages, so a moment of planning before each drag goes a long way.

Controls

Tap and drag across matching items to link them into a chain. Chains can run horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Tips

  1. Trace chains that pass beside power-ups so they trigger as part of the same move.
  2. Focus on the items named in the level goal before chasing a big score.
  3. Use diagonal links to reach matching items that seem cut off.
